Our first impressions
of Budapest yesterday - hot - lovely accommodation again - more modern looking
suburbs from airport. (Istanbul's new airport is opening at the end of October
so we missed that). Not the personality of previous cities though - no roundabouts
with no lights - no pedestrians and sellers crossing the road anywhere and
everywhere, no beggars, no hasslers, nobody thrusting menus in your face, no
pallets of plastic bottled water everywhere, no charming men saying 'by the way
I have a shop' no calls prayer over public speakers and not a cat in
sight......
